AB Vista to present on enzyme evolution at the 2025 AFGA Nutrition Seminar
Published Monday, 14th April 2025AB Vista will continue its commitment to the poultry nutrition community by participating in the 2025 Alabama Feed & Grain Association (AFGA) Nutrition Seminar. The event will take place between 22nd and 24th April at the Westin Hotel in Huntsville, Alabama.
Dr Mike Bedford, Research Director at AB Vista, is honoured to have been invited to speak at the prestigious event alongside key integrator industry players, including Tyson Foods, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, Perdue, Mountaire, Peco Foods, and Cal-Maine.
Dr Bedford will deliver his keynote presentation titled History of Exogenous Enzymes on 23rd April at 1:30 pm CT. The session will explore the early evolution of the feed enzyme market, including how fibre degrading enzymes have opened the door for broader ingredient acceptability and how phytase, which was originally applied to address environmental and economic challenges the Netherlands and Northern Germany has now become a pivotal enzyme on a global basis.
Dr Bedford will also reflect on what has historically slowed progress in enzyme innovation. Through specific examples, he will highlight opportunities where embracing alternative interpretations of data could have accelerated development and delivered greater returns to the industry.
AB Vista is a silver sponsor of AFGA, underscoring its commitment to knowledge sharing and collaboration in the poultry nutrition space. Alongside the technical presentation, AB Vista is looking forward to holding strategic meetings with key customers to align on programme goals and future initiatives. These science-led discussions continue to help AB Vista innovate its solution offerings to further drive performance, profitability and sustainability in the feed industry.
The AFGA is a non-profit trade association representing every segment of the feed and grain industries in Alabama. It was formed in 1983 from a merger between the Alabama Feed Association and the Alabama Grain Dealers Association.
